 Thank you so much for willingness to support the Sachse Public Library through your book donation. We are committed to providing our public with our on-going Friends of the Sachse Public Library Book Sale and strive to keep quality items available throughout the year.  Because we are a small library, the space available for storing and displaying materials is quite limited. In addition, our book sale is maintained by generous volunteers who give their time to sort through the donations and display the items. For these reasons we ask you to follow the guidelines below.

We very gratefully accept the following items in good condition:
Hardcover and paperback books in good condition
Clean, undamaged copies of “classic” titles
Paperback fiction, mysteries and romance novels
CDs and DVDs commercially published

Please note:
Donations should be brought to the circulation desk.
Donations can be brought during library operating hours.
Sorry, we cannot provide home pick-up of donations.
Library staff cannot assist you in transporting books from your vehicle, but you are welcome to borrow a cart.
A tax-deductible receipt can be provided. Just let us know. We do not determine the value of your donation.
Your donation will be considered for Friends of the Library book sales. Proceeds from our sales support library needs. Thank you!

 We cannot accept:
Damaged, yellowed, soiled, musty or moldy books. These should be thrown away, not taken to the library.
Any workbooks or materials that have been written in
Clearly outdated materials – generally no more than 10 years old
Magazines
Condensed books (e.g. Reader’s Digest)
Professional journals
Incomplete sets of Encyclopedias
Textbooks, study guides, manuals, or travel guides more than five years old
Computer games or software
VHS or cassette tapes
